Andrade expanded Democratic margins around Austin and Houston while gaining ground in the populous suburbs of Dallas and Fort Worth.
Trump remained strong outside the cities
Trump carried much of rural Texas, but those margins were not enough to overcome Andrade’s vote totals across the metropolitan corridor.
The result made Texas one of the most consequential flips in Andrade’s electoral-vote majority.
